My 5 year old niece made me see blank walls in a whole new way
I was complaining about a big empty wall in my hallway and my niece Lily (she is 6 in March) said "Why don't you just draw on it?" I laughed at first but she was dead serious. She showed me her art folder from preschool and I realized the stuff she makes is way more interesting than any cheap poster I could buy at Target. I framed 3 of her drawings in dollar store frames last weekend and now that wall is my favorite spot in the house. Has anyone else used kid art or other personal stuff instead of buying wall decor?

I framed some of my kid's crayon drawings from when he was little and now they're my favorite things on the wall. You can't beat stuff that actually means something, right?
