My daughter's crayon masterpiece ruined the wall, and my frame fix worked

Last Saturday my 4 year old decided the blank hallway wall was her canvas. 15 minutes later I had a 2 foot tall scribble monster in purple and green crayon. Instead of scrubbing it and risking a big smudge patch, I grabbed a cheap 18x24 frame from the thrift store for $6, cut some white cardstock to fit, and framed her drawing like it was a museum piece. She was so proud, and now the wall looks intentional. Anyone else turned a kid's accident into a decor win?

Oh man, I gotta say I see it totally different. Keeping a crayon scribble on the wall forever just feels like you're giving the wall over to chaos forever. I mean, my daughter did the same thing and I scrubbed that wall clean before my wife even got home. Maybe it's just me but teaching her that walls aren't for drawing felt like the bigger lesson than preserving the art.
