Saw a stat that 70% of people hang art too high and it totally changed how I look at my own walls

I read it in a home decor magazine at the dentist last week and measured my living room gallery wall when I got home turns out everything was 6 inches above eye level. Has anyone else checked their stuff after learning the 57 inch center rule?

Totally feel you on this one. I hung a big canvas above my couch last year and felt like something was just off for months, never knew why until my buddy who does interior design came over and pointed it out. He literally pulled out a tape measure and showed me I had it like 8 inches too high, moved it down and suddenly the whole room made sense. It's so wild how such a tiny detail changes everything, like suddenly the art actually talks to you instead of just floating up there. Feels like one of those things once you see it you can't unsee it in other people's houses too.

Oh man, you're so right about measuring. I've gotten in the habit of just eyeballing it and then standing back and checking three times before I even poke a nail in the wall. Moving stuff down those few inches is like magic, it just clicks all of a sudden.
