Took me 3 hours to fix a crooked frame that needed 2 minutes
I spent a solid 3 hours last Saturday fighting with a single picture frame on my living room wall. Kept using my eye to level it, stepping back, and it still looked off. Turns out my cheap bubble level from the dollar store was busted. Borrowed my neighbor's real level and fixed it in 2 minutes flat. Has anyone else lost time to bad tools for such a simple job?

My buddy Mark had a similar thing happen with a stud finder he bought at a garage sale. He was trying to hang a heavy shelf in his garage and it kept beeping in all the wrong spots. After drilling six holes and patching them up, he finally called me over. I brought my cheap but working stud finder and found the studs in about 30 seconds. The moral of the story is that sometimes the tool costs you more time than it saves. He still has those patches in his garage wall as a reminder not to buy used tools from strangers.

Honestly never thought garage sale tools were that risky but your buddy Mark's story changed my mind.
