My blurry photo of a bush in my yard hit 47 comments and nobody agreed, but I still think the popular answer is wrong
I posted a really grainy shot of what I thought was just a bush in my yard, taken at dusk with an old phone, and it somehow got 47 comments. Most folks swore it was a cat hiding in the branches. A few said it was a plastic bag caught in the wind. I respect the effort, but I think the whole approach is backwards. People zoom in on the pixels and guess from shape alone. I did something different. I walked out at the same time the next day and watched that spot for 20 minutes. It was a black trash bag wedged in the branches, moving a little when the wind picked up. The blur made the folds look like ears and a tail to everyone staring at the screen. I get why people love the pixel peeping method, it is fun, but it misses stuff you can only catch by going back to the spot. Has anyone else here tried revisiting the location instead of just messing with the image settings?
