Finally beat my husband at Catan after 47 straight losses...
I used to just build roads and settlements wherever, but after watching a YouTube video last month about wheat and ore monopolies, I focused on those two ports from the start and won with 10 points in under an hour.

47 straight losses" is a level of commitment I can only DREAM of. Honestly, your husband must have felt so safe, that win must have tasted sweeter than ALL the wheat and ore on the board. Going from random roads to a full port strategy is a total villain origin story. He's probably watching those same YouTube videos right now, plotting his revenge.
