Had to choose between leaving my Gloomhaven campaign mid-scenario or peeing in a bottle

I picked the bottle, finished the scenario with a soggy lap, and now the cardboard smells weird but at least we saved the city from the demon army, has anyone else made a bad call for the sake of a game night?

Man, I did the same thing but with a full 4-hour Eclipse session a couple years back. I brought a Gatorade bottle and everything, but I forgot to label it so my buddy took a swig mid-game and thought it was his drink. He spit it out all over the map tiles and we had to stop for 20 minutes to clean up the sticky, pea-colored mess. The worst part is the cardboard still has a faint sour smell even after I wiped it down with Clorox wipes. Totally worth it though because my alliance crushed the other factions and I ended up winning the game. I've learned nothing from this experience so I'll probably do it again next time we play Legendary Encounters.

Oh, I can picture that scene way too well. My friends and I tried something similar with a thermos of iced tea during a marathon session of Twilight Imperium. I labeled mine with a piece of tape and a sharpie, but after hour six the writing had smeared off from condensation. @joseph448 I think your Gatorade story is actually more memorable though. A couple of my buddies took a sip of my thermos by accident anyway because they said it looked like the same brand. The only thing that saved us was that iced tea is at least clear so no one spit it anywhere. We did have a moment where someone knocked over a can of soda onto the board though, and that cardboard smell never really goes away no matter how much you clean it. I tell myself every time that next game I will be more careful, but I know I am just lying to myself.
