My game group's 'no phones' rule felt dumb until last Friday
We always play at Ben's place, and he's strict about putting phones in a basket. I thought it was overkill, but last Friday we finally got through a full game of Twilight Imperium in under 8 hours. No one was distracted checking scores or looking up rules on their phone, we just talked and played. It was the most fun I've had gaming in months. Does your group have any rules that actually work?

That "no phones" rule you mentioned is a game changer, literally. I read a study that said even having a phone on the table makes people pay less attention. Maybe all groups should try a basket.

Used to think it was overkill. Then I saw how much better the conversations got. Now I'm a total believer.
