Rant: My team lead laughed at my board game hobby during a review, and now I'm considering a change.

Totally with @finley_lopez98, people always judge what they don't get.

Can't believe they laughed at board games. Those things need serious strategy and planning. Like planning a whole turn in Terraforming Mars or negotiating in Catan. Shows way more brain power than another boring spreadsheet. Honestly says more about their lack of imagination than your hobby. Pretty unprofessional for a review.

You're so right about the strategy part. I used to think board games were just silly fun until I tried playing Twilight Imperium with friends. Trying to manage resources, make deals, and plan moves three turns ahead made my head hurt more than any work project. It completely changed how I see games like Catan. That stuff is real brain work.
