Showerthought: a random guy at PAX Unplugged called my whole collection "shelf trophies" and he wasn't wrong
I was lugging a tote of 40+ games into the free play area last month in Philly when this guy next to me pointed at my stack and just said "you've played maybe 6 of those, huh?" He was dead on, most of them still had the shrink wrap. Now I keep a little notebook and won't buy anything new until I've logged 3 plays. How do you all keep the shelf from turning into a museum?
Sounds like that guy just wanted to feel better about his own pile, which is probably worse than yours. Keeping a notebook and a 3 play rule seems like a lot of homework for a hobby you do for fun. Nobody's grading you, buy the games, leave em wrapped, the shelf looks nice either way.
