That $45 dice tray upgrade saved my table from a split drink
Last month at a game night, someone knocked over a soda right onto my old felt-lined tray and it soaked through, wrecking three cards from my Gloomhaven deck. I dropped $45 on a wooden tray with a raised lip and a neoprene insert, and honestly it's a different world. The spill this past Friday just pooled on the surface, no damage at all, and cleanup took like ten seconds with a napkin. I used to think fancy trays were for show, but now I'm convinced they're a real safety net for any game with cards or tokens. If you're still using a flat cardboard liner, have you had a close call that made you upgrade? I'm curious if cheaper options with deep walls work just as well, since mine cost a bit extra.
