Went from a 6 foot folding table to a proper 3x3 playmat and my back finally stopped hurting

For two years I hosted game night on a cheap folding table in my garage in Tucson, and we were always cramming 4 player boards plus snacks onto it. Last month I finally got a 3x3 neoprene mat that fits on my dining table, and setup takes half the time because cards don't slide everywhere. The big surprise is that people actually stay longer now since nobody is elbowing each other for space. What size surface do you all use for heavier games with big boards?
