Blew a pressure test on a job in Gary last Tuesday because I forgot to clean the flange faces

Man, that Gary humidity is brutal for sealing too. I did the same thing on a 12-inch ANSI 150 flange in Hammond last October, had to tear the whole spool down again. Having to drain a system you just filled because of a simple oops is the worst feeling in the world. Next time I'm bringing a dedicated rag and some acetone in my kit just for that step.
