Lost $200 on a fancy weld test gauge that was pure junk

Tbh I thought that digital weld test gauge would pay for itself in a week. Spent $200 on it from a supply house in Gary, Indiana and the readings were off by 15 psi on every single run. Calibrated it twice, same garbage. My old needle gauge cost $40 and has never lied to me. Anyone else get burned by high tech gadgets that just add headaches on the job?
