That 200 dollar stinger grinder I cheaped out on finally gave up
Picked up a no-name stinger from a pawn shop in Gary back in March, figured it'd handle a few welds and die quietly. It lasted through maybe 60 hours of work before the trigger started sticking and the motor started smoking on a 16 inch header repair, real bad timing. The thing is, my old Milwaukee would've cost triple that upfront, but it's still running from a 2019 job in Ohio. I'm leaning toward just biting the bullet on a proper one this week, but has anyone else had luck with the mid range brands like HF or Makita for this kind of abuse?
