Was at the old power plant in Gary, Indiana last month. Saw a boiler from the 40s still running. Debate: Should we keep these old giants running with constant fixes, or is it time to push for full replacement?

Keeping a 20-year-old car running is one thing, but that laptop has a whole different kind of soul. It's a time capsule for the early internet, with those old ports and an OS that doesn't phone home. You can actually OWN the thing, not just rent it from some company.
