Bought a heated bone folder for $45, my hands still ache but not as bad

I do a lot of leather binding and my thumb was killing me after every project. Picked up a plug-in heated bone folder for around 45 bucks and it takes way less pressure to crease now. Anyone else try one or is it just a gimmick for most of you?
