Oh man, I feel this so hard. I tried skipping pre-punching once on a journal I was making for a friend and the whole thing looked like a war zone. The thread kept bunching up and I ended up with these weird puckers where the paper folded weird. Had to redo the entire section three times before I gave up and pre-punched.
