The glue pot tsunami that soaked my Sunday in Portland
Last weekend I was rebinding a 1920s poetry anthology in my garage, and I left the PVA pot on the edge of my workbench to answer the door. The cat, who has never once knocked anything over in 6 years, decided that exact minute was the perfect time to launch off that pot. Hot glue splattered across the book cloth, my jeans, and somehow the ceiling fan, and I spent an hour picking dried glue off the fan blades with a chisel. The book actually turned out fine, but now I'm paranoid about every cat movement in that room. Has anyone else had a pet sabotage a bind, or am I the only unlucky one?
