Wasted $60 on a cheap bone folder and regretted it

I bought a cheap plastic bone folder off Amazon for $6 and it snapped in half on my third book. Then I spent $60 on a set of four different sizes from a craft store and they all felt flimsy and left marks on my paper. A guy at my local bindery shop showed me his single Teflon folder from Japan that cost $25 and worked perfectly. Now I'm kicking myself for not just buying one good tool from the start. Anyone else waste cash on budget tools before learning the lesson?

@abby_king22 you're spot on. I got one last month and it's wild how much smoother filing stuff is now. Papers just slide right in without any sticking or tearing. Saves me a few minutes each time I'm sorting through receipts or important mail.
