A serious critique of my soil mix made me switch entirely
Fellow botanical garden volunteer said my potting mix was too dense for the native milkweed. She pointed out the roots were basically suffocating after I showed her a plant I'd been babying for 6 months. Anyone else had a random comment totally change how you prep your containers?

Had a lady at the nursery tell me my cactus mix was too wet. Just a quick comment while I was buying bags. Changed everything. Swapped to pumice and coarse sand. Now my succulents actually survive winter. Random advice from strangers is way more real than youtube sometimes.
