Can we talk about overwatering seedlings?

Used to water my starts every single day like clockwork. Killed three trays of tomatoes before I figured out they needed way less. Now I just stick my finger in the soil and if it's damp I leave it alone. Has anyone else killed a whole flat of plants from too much love?

Oh man I feel this SO hard. I did the exact same thing with my first batch of pepper seedlings, watered them like they were drowning and they all got damped off. Now I wait until the top inch is dry and even then I'm paranoid. What helped me was switching to bottom watering with a tray so the roots go find the water themselves instead of me drowning them from above.

Oh I know, @wesleypatel, bottom watering changed my whole pepper game too!
