Found a weird leaf spot on my Monstera that cleared up in 5 days with cinnamon

I noticed brown spots on my Monstera deliciosa last Tuesday, thought it was root rot at first. Dusted the soil with ground cinnamon (an old trick from a forum) and the spots stopped spreading by Friday. Has anyone else tried cinnamon for fungal issues on houseplants?

Hell yeah, that cinnamon trick saved my peace lily last year. Same deal - weird brown spots spreading fast, dusted the soil with cinnamon from the spice rack. Cleared up in under a week, never had the problem again.

Read somewhere cinnamon works as a natural fungicide, cool it helped!
