Had a perfect propagation day last Tuesday that totally made up for my rough week

I was out in the backyard and managed to get 12 cuttings of my philodendron to root in one go using just a simple jar of rainwater. Lost three plants to a nasty aphid infestation a few weeks ago, so this felt like a small victory. Has anyone else had a lucky streak with a tricky plant that just clicked out of nowhere?

I gotta push back a little on calling it a "perfect propagation day" just because you got 12 philodendron cuttings to root. I mean, philodendrons are about the easiest thing you can root in water, they're basically weeds in a pot. I've had them root in tap water that sat out for a day, no special rainwater needed. Now if you'd said you got a fiddle leaf fig or a hoya to root that fast I'd be impressed. Aphids are a bummer though, I lost a whole batch of string of pearls to those little jerks last spring so I get the small victory feeling. But philodendrons are like the training wheels of propagation, you know?

HOLD UP, wait a minute. You're saying you actually lost a whole batch of string of pearls to aphids? Dang, I didn't even know aphids went after succulents like that, I always thought they were more into soft leafy stuff and roses and whatnot. String of pearls are like these fragile little beads that just pop off if you look at em funny, so I can only imagine how bad that infestation was. I gotta hand it to you though, at least you tried something harder than a basic philodendron, most people start with a pothos and call it a day. I'm still trying to get my hoya to root and it's been sitting in a jar for two weeks looking back at me like "what are you doing". So yeah, you got my respect for even attempting string of pearls, aphids or no aphids.
