Had to choose between a native wildflower garden or a formal rose bed for my front yard

I went with the wildflowers because they're supposed to be better for pollinators, but after 2 months I'm fighting bindweed and thistle while my roses would have been easier to manage. Anyone else wish they'd picked the easier option?

Oh man, bindweed is the actual worst. I quit gardening for a whole year after fighting that stuff.

Bindweed is awful but it's actually morning glory, not the same plant.
