Bought a cheap mortar mixer off Amazon and it died after 3 bags

I spent $180 on that little electric mixer last month. It burned out mixing just three bags of type S mortar for a small retaining wall. Has anyone else had bad luck with the budget mixers or should I just save up for a proper one?

Did you try running it on a proper 20 amp circuit...

Yeah swapping to a 20 amp breaker fixed my issues with a similar saw. Just made sure the wiring was thick enough to handle it and it ran smooth after that lol.
