I was laying a curved wall in Tacoma and my line snapped halfway through the third course.

Laying a curved wall" sounds like a pain. I think you mean you were laying bricks for it, right? That line snapping would drive me nuts.

The line snapped three times before I gave up and just eyeballed it, @robin_foster1. I'm sure my wall is now a modern art piece.

Oh man, I gotta push back on that a little. In my experience, eyeballing a curved wall is a recipe for trouble down the road, especially if you're in an area with freeze/thaw cycles. I've seen people try to fudge it and end up with gaps that let water in a year later. The line snapping is frustrating for sure, but I'd rather fight with the line a few extra times than deal with a wavy wall that bugs me every time I walk past it. Your mileage may vary, but sometimes the extra hassle upfront saves you a bigger headache later.
