PSA: That high-lime mortar mix I switched to 3 weeks ago made my joints look completely different by day 7
My pointing on this old brownstone in Brooklyn went from chunky and uneven to smooth and tight after I swapped from Type N to a 3:1:1 lime mix, and now I'm wondering if I've been doing it wrong for 5 years, has anyone else seen that big a change from switching your blend?

...and here I was proud of my chunky joints thinking it gave it that "old world charm" or whatever I told myself. I spent a whole summer on a row house in Astoria with Type N and now I'm looking back at those photos like yikes, that's rough.
