Showerthought: I just laid my 10,000th brick on a job in Denver and it felt weird

I was working on a big commercial build and my foreman pointed out I'd passed that number this morning. It made me realize how much of the trade is just putting one brick after another, but it adds up to something real. Do you guys ever keep track of your personal counts on a project?

That's a cool milestone to hit! I started keeping a tally in my notebook on a big foundation job last year, and it really does make you see the progress differently.

Wait, you tried it and it totally changed your focus? That's a big deal. Like, how much did it shift things for you? I'm kind of shocked it made that much of a difference, because I always thought it was just a small tweak. Was it a sudden change or did it build up over a few days?
