Still can't believe I never knew about frog mortar before last week
Been laying brick for almost 12 years now and I just found out that the little indent on the top of a brick has a name. Frog mortar. The frog. I read it on a forum while looking up water penetration stuff. 30 years of my dad saying "make sure the divot faces up" and I never once thought to ask what it was called. Made me feel like a damn apprentice all over again. Anybody else learn something basic way later than they should have?
