Picked a $25 used keyboard over a $5 thrift store one and now I can actually play
Last month I wanted to start learning piano but only had about $30 to my name after rent. I stood in the Goodwill on Elm Street holding a beat up $5 casio with three dead keys and a $25 yamaha from a garage sale listing two blocks away. I went with the yamaha even though it hurt to spend that much because the casio keys felt like mashed potatoes. Two days in, the yamaha's middle C started sticking and I opened it up with a butter knife to find a cracker crumb jammed under the key. Has anyone else had luck fixing cheap keyboards at home or should I just save for a real one?
