Batch cooking on Sunday vs cooking every night, which actually saves you more money?

I used to cook fresh every day because I thought leftovers went bad fast, but after I started doing one big Sunday cook with $40 of groceries and portioning into containers, I'm spending about $25 less per week on takeout, so which method do you all think wins out when you factor in the time and gas?

...and honestly my Sunday self is way more organized than my Tuesday self, who can barely decide what to eat let alone cook it. The $25 a week savings is real for me too, but I’d say the biggest win is not having to stare into the fridge at 6pm feeling like a confused raccoon. Time and gas are a wash for me since I’m already home on Sundays, so batch cooking wins by a mile.
