Can we talk about how I used to buy pre-cut veggies for everything?

I was spending like $12 a week on those pre-cut onion and pepper trays until last month, now I just chop up a whole bag of onions in 10 minutes on Sunday and it lasts me all week. Anyone else waste money on pre-cut stuff before realizing how fast a knife really is?

Honestly I was the same way with those pre chopped garlic jars. $4 for a tiny jar when a whole head of garlic costs like 50 cents and takes 30 seconds to peel. I timed myself once, a whole bag of onions takes me 8 minutes now and saves me like $8 a week. Feels dumb looking back.

Man that is a REAL eye opener when you actually time it out! So did you calculate the dollar value of your time too or just the straight savings on the groceries? Because I feel like that 8 minutes of chopping is NOTHING compared to what I used to waste driving to the store for those convenience items.
