My neighbor's comment about beans changed how I meal plan
I was talking to my neighbor Carol last week while we were both watering our plants. She mentioned she uses canned lentils in pretty much everything because they're 88 cents a can at Aldi. I always thought beans and lentils were just for chili or soup, but she said she mixes them into taco meat, pasta sauce, even scrambled eggs. It hit me that I've been overcomplicating my cheap meals when I could just add a can of something to stretch everything further. Has anyone else had a simple swap like that totally change your grocery bill?

Did you read that article about how canned beans have like three times the fiber of fresh chicken? It totally blew my mind, I've been trying to add them to everything since Carol's tip too. I mean, it's crazy how much you can stretch a pound of ground beef with just one can.

Canned lentils are a game changer. Never thought about throwing em in eggs but I'm trying that tomorrow.
