The week I tried meal prepping with only $30 for 5 days
Last month I decided to see if I could stretch $30 across Monday to Friday for all my meals. First three days went smooth with rice, beans, and frozen veggies from Aldi. Day 4 hit hard when I ran out of ideas and ate plain oatmeal for dinner. Day 5 I caved and bought a $2 pack of tortillas to make bean burritos, basically cheating. So here's my question: do you think strict budgets like this are worth it for learning portion control, or do they just make you miserable and less likely to stick with it long term? I'm torn because the first few days felt empowering, but the end was rough.

Yeah I did something similar a while back and what worked was mixing in cheap eggs and canned tuna to break up the monotony. Keeps you from hitting that oatmeal-for-dinner wall.

Tuna and eggs together sounds like a weird combo for breakfast though.
