Debate: Should bullet journals be minimal or full of art?

I keep my bujo super simple with just lines and a black pen, but last month my coworker showed me hers with watercolor spreads and washi tape everywhere. It looked amazing but I feel like that defeats the original Ryder Carroll method... which side do you land on for actual productivity?

Stick with what works for you. The whole decorated journal trend feels like buying a fancy treadmill and using it as a clothes rack. At the end of the day, if you're spending more time making it look good than actually planning your week, you've kind of missed the point.
