My coworker saw my weekly spread and asked to borrow it as a template
She spotted it on my desk during a break last Tuesday and said 'I need this kind of structure in my life.' I ended up spending 15 minutes showing her how I track my deadlines and water intake. Has anyone else had a friend or coworker want to copy your layout?

Tbh I actually love when people ask to copy my layouts. It feels weirdly validating even though I didn't invent anything special. Most of my system is just color coded boxes and a lot of scribbling anyways. But I will say, the water intake thing always gets the biggest reaction. People can't believe I actually track that stuff daily but it keeps me from forgetting to drink anything until 4pm.

The water tracking thing though - are you actually counting ounces or just checking off a box each time you refill a bottle? Because I feel like there's a big difference between the two when it comes to actually remembering to drink enough. Curious if the validation comes more from people being impressed or from them genuinely wanting to copy your exact system.

Oscar is right about the validation thing, but you're not really copying a layout if someone explains it to you first. That's just learning a system. The idea that tracking water is some wild concept is funny, most planners have a water log section. Pretty standard stuff in the bullet journal world.
