My friend pointed out my weekly spreads were way too cluttered
I had this habit of cramming every task, habit, and note into one page each week. A buddy glanced at my journal and said, 'This looks like a ransom note, not a planner.' At first I was annoyed, but then I looked at it again and yeah, it was a mess. I cut down to only 5 tasks per day and left blank space for random thoughts. Now I actually finish things instead of just listing them. Has anyone else had to totally rethink their layout because of one comment?

Did you ever feel like you were using your planner as more of a memory dump than an actual tool to get things done? I get the appeal of keeping everything in one place, but I kind of like a cluttered spread myself... it makes me feel like I'm not forgetting anything. Cutting down to just five tasks seems way too restrictive to me, what if you have a busy day and need to jot down more? I'd rather have the chaos and actually see all my obligations than risk missing something because I was trying to keep it pretty.
