My weekly spread got way too cluttered after I added habit tracking

Went to a bullet journal meetup in Austin and everyone showed me their minimalist layouts, now I'm rethinking every single line I draw on the page... has anyone else had to strip back their layout after going overboard?

That line about "rethinking every single line" really hit home for me. I spent three months with this overly complicated weekly spread that had trackers for water, sleep, mood, steps, and even how many times I checked my phone. After seeing those minimalist spreads at a meetup in Chicago, I got rid of everything except the date and three tasks per day. Now my brain actually wants to use the journal instead of dreading opening it.

3 tasks per day was the magic number for me too. I tried the full GTD thing with like 15 action items and it just made me feel like a failure by lunch. Now I write down the three things that actually need to happen, and if I get to them early I add little bonus tasks as the day goes. It also stopped me from copying all those fancy Instagram layouts that look great but take 45 minutes to set up.
