My weekly spread used to be a total mess until I switched to a simple grid system.
For about a year, I tried drawing out fancy boxes for each day, but it took me over an hour every Sunday. Three months ago, I saw a post here about using a basic dot grid and just writing tasks in a list under each day. I switched to that and now my weekly setup takes maybe 15 minutes. Has anyone else gone from a complicated layout to something way simpler?

Over an hour every Sunday" is the part that kills you. I used to do the same with watercolor headers and hand lettering. Switched to a single pen and a basic checklist format. The time you save actually lets you use the planner instead of just decorating it.

Richard_wells59 makes a fair point about time, but that hour on Sunday is my creative reset. The watercolor and lettering process forces me to slow down and actually think about the week ahead. A basic checklist feels like another boring task, but building my planner is something I look forward to. The decoration is what makes me want to open it every single day. That invested time is the whole reason the system works for me.
