Spilled coffee all over my April spread at a diner last Thursday

I was at this little diner by my apartment working on my weekly spread when I knocked over my mug. Coffee went everywhere, ruined about 3 days of tracking and some nice little doodles I'd done. I had to blot it up fast with napkins, but the pages got all crinkly and stained. Ended up just cutting out the ruined pages and starting fresh on a new section. Has anyone else had a drink disaster in their journal, and how do you salvage it without just tossing the whole thing?

Yeah, coffee spills are the worst. I've had that happen too and honestly, cutting out the ruined pages is the smartest move. Don't even bother trying to save them with blotting or anything, the crinkle never goes away and it'll just bug you every time you flip past it. Plus the stain spreads over time if you don't cut it out, I learned that the hard way. Next time though, try using a thermos with a tight lid when you're at a diner, takes up the same space but way less risky.
