Switched to a weekly vertical layout after a year of monthly spreads

I spent 12 months doing those big monthly calendars with tons of color coding and stickers, just like everyone on Instagram. Last week I tried a simple single page vertical weekly with nothing but a pen and a ruler, and somehow I'm actually using it every day instead of abandoning it by the 5th. Anyone else find that simpler layouts work better even though they look way less exciting?

Yeah exactly, I actually read somewhere that weekly layouts force you to break things down into smaller chunks. It's like the difference between looking at a map of the whole country versus just your neighborhood. So in that sense, weekly gives you more room to actually write stuff down. Does that make sense?
