The migration card hack that fixed my chaotic weekly spread
For about 4 months I kept falling off my weekly bullet journal routine. I would set up these big elaborate spreads on Sunday night and by Wednesday they were half empty because I forgot to look at them. I tried different layouts and simpler designs but nothing stuck. Then I started putting a single index card inside my journal cover that I move to my current week. It has just my top 3 tasks and any appointments for the week written on it. I can pull it out and carry it around without lugging the whole journal. Now I actually use my weekly spread because the card acts like a shortcut to what matters. Has anyone else tried a physical helper like this to bridge the gap between journal and daily life?

My friend Sarah taped a sticky note to her phone case and it fell off in a puddle.

Man that card trick is genius actually. I had the same problem with my weekly spreads looking pretty but collecting dust. Started ripping a page out of my notebook each week and folding it into my pocket. Just the day names with tiny boxes next to them. Barely any setup but actually checking it feels possible. Your system sounds more elegant though. Might steal your index card idea for next week.
