Vent: Someone told me my weekly spread was "too rigid" and it messed with my head
I had this coworker at a plumbing supply shop peek at my bullet journal last month and say my weekly layout looked like a prison schedule with no room for life to happen. She was right about one thing I was boxing every hour of the day including lunch breaks and it left zero space for random tasks or notes. Did anyone else get feedback that made you completely scrap your whole system or am I the only one who takes criticism way too personally?

I mean I actually read something recently about how time blocking can backfire if you don't leave any breathing room and it really stuck with me. The whole idea was that our brains need gaps to process stuff and rigid schedules can make you feel trapped even if they look productive. So maybe that coworker had a point even if they said it in a blunt way. Idk I scrapped my whole system after someone said my weekly spread looked like a shopping list for chores. It was just too much pressure and I ended up ignoring it half the time anyway. Now I just jot down the three most important things each day and leave the rest open and it feels way more doable. Maybe it's just me but that feedback actually helped me loosen up a bit.

Yeah my todo list looked like a ransom note, so I feel that.
