Went to a local Bullet Journal meetup last Tuesday and it totally changed my layout approach

I showed up at this little coffee shop in Denver with my trusty weekly spread, thinking I had it all figured out after 3 years of journaling. A girl named Megan showed me how she uses color coded dots for tracking habits and tasks instead of wasting space on separate collections, and it blew my mind. Has anyone else tried a dot system or do you stick with the classic rapid logging method?

Bullet journaling started with rapid logging as the base, but people mix it up with all sorts of stuff now. The dots method Megan showed you is basically a twist on collections, since you're still tracking things in one place just using dots instead of lists. So you're not really choosing between dots and rapid logging, because they do different jobs. Dots are for tracking habits and tasks over time, while rapid logging is how you write down quick stuff each day. You can actually use both together without any problem, that's what makes this whole system flexible.
