My 2.5 gallon shrimp bowl crashed overnight because I forgot to top off the water
I keep a 2.5 gallon planted bowl with cherry shrimp on my kitchen counter in Tucson, and during a dry week the water dropped about an inch from evaporation. The heater got exposed, the temp swung down to 64, and I lost 4 shrimp by morning. I topped it off slowly with dechlorinated water and pulled the heater down lower, but now I'm wondering if I should just run it without a heater since my place stays around 70 anyway, what do you all do for tiny bowls in dry places?
