Just hit 1,000 whole lambs broken down in my shop

I keep a rough count in my head and yesterday I realized I had broken down my 1,000th whole lamb since I started working here 4 years ago. That number surprised me because I thought I was way past it, but actually doing the math put things in perspective about how much meat moves through a small shop. How many of a single animal have you guys processed in your career?

1,000 whole lambs" hits different when you think about it. It's wild how we don't notice the big numbers in our own lives until someone spells them out.

You know what really gets me about big numbers? I was in a Costco once and saw a pallet of toilet paper with the unit count on it. 500 rolls. That's like a years supply for a normal person but it was stacked up like it was nothing. It made me wonder how many lambs or whatever else goes through a place like that every day. Probably a number that would make your head spin if you actually stopped to count.
