Wasted $60 on a fancy bone saw that couldn't cut through a pork shoulder cleanly

I bought a high-end bone saw from a knife show last month and it gummed up so bad on the first ham I tried it on that I had to finish with my old one, has anyone else had luck with those Japanese-style saws or should I just stick to a standard meat saw?
