Bought a $200 fiber cleaver and it snapped on the third job
Picked up this budget cleaver from an online deal last month. Thought I was saving cash, but on the third install it just cracked right at the blade edge. Had to finish the residential run with my backup and the scraps were brutal. Anyone else had a tool fail that early and regret not spending more upfront?

Man, that stinks. Cheap tools are never worth it.

Wait, hang on - you're saying you actually bought one of those $20 tool sets from the gas station? Girl, I cannot believe you went that cheap I'm honestly shocked. My cousin got a similar set once and the screwdriver handle literally snapped off in his hand on the very first use. The metal was so soft it bent trying to turn a basic screw. Those tools are basically just painted aluminum or something, total waste of cash. At least you learned your lesson I guess but oof that hurts to hear.
