Dropped $180 on a Klein crimper and the handle snapped on day 3

I mean I get that tools break sometimes but three days? I was just doing a standard RG6 termination in a crawlspace, nothing crazy. Called Klein and they said it's a 'wear item' and offered to replace it for $80. Anyone else get burned by a brand name tool that used to be reliable?

Man that sucks, I feel your pain. "Wear item" my foot, a $180 crimper should last way longer than three days. I had a similar thing happen with a Milwaukee sawzall blade clamp, it stripped out on the second cut through some 2x4s with nothing fancy. Called them up and they told me the same line, basically said too bad so sad unless I paid for a replacement. Really makes you wonder what you're paying for when you buy the big names now, right?

Same here with a DeWalt drill chuck, didn't even last a week.
